Relationship and Fear

Chapter 11 of “The Book of The Covenant, A Witness Against America”

We’re not sure what portion of the giving of the ten commandments caused Israel to react in such a way as the next passage records in The Book of The Covenant but it must have had something to do with the method YoHeWaH conveyed His words to the body of Israel that faithful day. Moses recounts…

“Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let The Almighty speak to us, lest we die.” Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for YoHeWaH has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.” Exodus 20:18–21

The subject of fear confuses Believers to no end. The Children of Israel, standing at the base of Mount Sinai, witnessing YoHeWaH thunder down His commands with all the trimmings must have been just as confused and as the text says, afraid.

At the root of every kind of improper fear there is some form of death. The internal struggle within us all is to fear death. Yet the moral teaching of not fearing death is one of the central themes of all of scripture. It is truly easy to say, before hand or looking in hind sight that we, as Believers, do not fear death. However, allow any of us to be in Israel’s sandals at that very moment and see if we pass the test… Probably not.

We have already touched on and will be teaching later in this work concerning the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit versus the external dwelling of His Spirit, but just keep this fact in mind as we think on what it must have been like for Israel to stand at the base of The Mountain of YoHeWaH and listen to those words. No one, with the exception of Moses had the indwelling or external dwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit in or around their minds. They did not have the Millenia of teaching from the scripture, we have today. They were just common people who had witnessed great miracles as they left Egypt from being in hundreds of years of slavery. Were they at a disadvantage in this area?

The apostle Paul’s words to Timothy are pertinent concerning this topic:

“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of YoHeWaH, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for YoHeWaH has not given us a spirit of fear but rather a Spirit of power and love and self-control.” 2Timothy 1:5–7

The words for YoHeWaH has not given us a spirit of fear” tell the story concerning Israel at Mount Sinai. They had been baptized in the Red Sea, as Paul writes to the Corinthians but no one had laid hands on them individually for the receiving of the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit. The words which is in you through the laying on of my hands” lends us a good amount of insight as to how the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit enters the womb of a Believer’s mind, that being by the laying on of “set apart” hands, which today is by the Eldership of the true Church…. But we digress, slightly.

Here is the passage where Paul makes the case Israel was baptized in the Red Sea.

“For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.” 1Corinthians 10:1–4

The indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit which Paul had personally delivered to Timothy is the key to casting out fear. Any Bible student knows where we are going here. The Apostle John wrote this concerning the relationship between Fear and Love:

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” 1John 4:18

In the last chapter we made the case of how this kind of love is obtained and built, via the step-by-step process built upon faith. The relationship here deals with how fear dissipates when a level of Agape Love is obtained, driving out an unhealthy kind of fear, as a brand new entity is built in its place, The Fear of YoHeWaH.

Agape love is not attained in a Believer void of the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit. Faith can lead to Virtue, but one of the acts of virtue, if you remember, was to be properly baptized, which includes the laying on of holy (set apart) hands, which is one of the basic doctrines of the true Church or Assembly, as it should be called. Note the words of the author of Hebrews concerning these basic doctrines. The stage is set via a little tongue in cheek chastisement by the author at the end of chapter 5, leading into chapter 6 where we find the basic doctrines listed…. Basics the leaders in Israel should have already been teaching by this time, but were found lacking.

“About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of YoHeWaH. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews 5:11–14

The thought continues into chapter 6…

“Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward YoHeWaH, and of instruction about baptism, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.” Hebrews 6:1–2

Thus the basic doctrines of the true Assemblies are:

  1. Repentance from dead works.
  2. Faith toward YoHeWaH (2Peter 1:5–7).
  3. Proper baptism complete with the laying on of hands.
  4. The resurrection of the dead (physical regeneration).
  5. Eternal Judgment.

Not veering too far from the subject at hand, allow us to address these five basic doctrines, addressing each one within Christianity, as to whether the church at this end time has been teaching these, or not.

  1. Right off the bat… Strike one. You can not properly teach repentance toward dead works when you cast out YoHeWaH’s Covenant Law. Its impossible to repent if you do not know what your to repent from.
  2. Strike two…We have already witnessed in chapter 10 how to perfect faith toward YoHeWaH by the building of the qualities listed in 2Peter 1:5–7 and once again, these are impossible to perform void of Covenant Law.
  3. Right down the middle, caught looking. Strike three. The church utterly fails 100% concerning baptism. All denominations fall short because no denomination vets their Eldership via the criteria of keeping and teaching Covenant Law. If you, as a Believer were baptized by an Elder, Minister or Pastor who does not look to Covenant Law as their guiding light, they are simply not a true Presbyter of YoHeWaH’s True Assembly. Let alone the fact, none properly teach the laying on of hands at the moment after baptism, praying for YoHeWaH’s Spirit to enter into the mind of the one being baptized.
  4. And it would not matter if we gave Christendom two more strikes. Christianity has no idea about the resurrection from the dead, which encompasses YoHeWaH’s plan of salvation, as told via the holy days listed in Covenant Law, throwing it out wholeheartedly.
  5. Which leaves eternal judgement. How can Christianity teach true judgment void of the judgments found within Covenant Law. The church jumps to the end of the matter without any substance, throwing everyone they disagree with into the fictional lake of fire to burn for ever and ever. A bold face lie. Sit down, you are out, strike five.

Back to the opening passage from The Book of The Covenant concerning fear. Moses exclaims, “Do not fear, for YoHeWaH has come to test you”.

The testing of the make up of each Believer, both those standing at the mountain that faithful day and those alive and well today, is a measuring stick YoHeWaH Himself uses, as we get a glimpse into the learning process of YoHeWaH…… And yes, The Almighty learns, constantly, just as we should be doing. Once more, in that process, He teaches those who come afterward concerning the expectations of each Believer. There is a great story to be told at this moment in history, a lesson to be learned and insight to how YoHeWaH paints the big picture within His word.

Teachable Moment: Question for you. What do you fear?

We made mention earlier, all unhealthy fear is based upon the idea of death. Maybe you fear to walk down an abandoned alley at night, afraid of being mugged or worse beaten to death by the mugger. Maybe you fear losing your job because then you could not pay your bills, you might lose your house, be homeless and eventually die on the street. You get the point. Fear, extrapolated out, always leads to death.

The Children of Israel were behind the 8 ball, so to speak. Not having the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit and having never witnessed such power in a voice from their God before, fear most certainly fell upon them. I dare say if we were in their shoes, we would have done the exact same thing.

It is here, we might want to consider a man whose heart was naturally based in a lack of fear, a man who only feared YoHeWaH. That man was of course, David, the son of Jessie, a family of Judah.

David was said to be a man after YoHeWaH’s own heart, having the heart of a lion in bravery and in battle. Did David have the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit? Had a man of YoHeWaH laid hands on David when the description of being a man after YoHeWaH’s own heart was made? The surprising answer is no. Most people would think yes, and the man laying hands on David was The Prophet Samuel. However, Samuel had not anointed David king at the time the following passage was spoken…

“And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of YoHeWaH your Mighty One, with which he commanded you. For then YoHeWaH would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. But now your kingdom shall not continue. YoHeWaH has sought out a man after his own heart, and YoHeWaH has commanded him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept what YoHeWaH commanded you.” 1 Samuel 13:13–14

So, assuming it takes the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit to have a heart of courage might seem unscriptural, until you consider this fact. There is another way YoHeWaH’s Spirit dwells in the womb of the mind. That being, via bloodline. The bloodline that carried the physical seed of Yeshua, The Coming Messiah.

Most Believers have never heard of such a theology, but I assure it is a fact. There was a golden thread that ran through The House of Judah that passed through David’s DNA which lead directly to Christ. Later in this work, we will address the scriptural facts concerning this subject, but for now just know, YoHeWaH’s Spirit did indeed dwell “in” David and it dwelt in him via blood, not via spirit.

David had courage naturally and once he was ordained as King, The Prophet Samuel endowed David with a renewed amount of YoHeWaH’s Spirit which actually empowered His son Solomon with the wisdom and knowledge it took to springboard Israel to such great heights. Finally, there was a people of Israel who were found successful because of a lack of fear for anything outside of YoHeWaH. The Almighty’s Kingdom was at last established anciently, proof positive to the world, YoHeWaH’s way works, physically. However, just as all physical things go the way of destruction, the missing ingredient became evident. The people of Israel, and eventually the Kings of Israel and Judah, once again, fell short because of the lack of an indwelling Spirit in their minds.

Time rocked along.

Israel went into captivity to the Empire of Assyria. Judah eventually also fell into the hands of Babylon. The ten tribes of Israel migrated from the northern middle east region of the Caucus Mountains where they were held in captivity for around 120 years, toward central, and finally western Europe.

Judah held the land of Palestine until their iniquity became full, based upon corruption by its leadership and idolatry, until Babylon took Judah into captivity for 70 years.

At the end of the 70 years, a portion of Judah was allowed to return to the land, where once again courage was a key ingredient to re-establishing the temple or government of YoHeWaH. Even though the surrounding peoples had threatened the people of Judah against rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, Leading men like Ezra and Nehemiah took courage and stood in the faith of YoHeWaH as their protector, willing to do their part, as the following text explains:

“In Judah it was said, “The strength of those who bear the burdens is failing. There is too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able to rebuild the wall.” And our enemies said, “They will not know or see till we come among them and kill them and stop the work.” At that time the Jews who lived near them came from all directions and said to us ten times, “You must return to us.” So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people by their clans, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember YoHeWaH, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.” When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that YoHeWaH had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other. And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me. And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our Mighty One, YoHeWaH will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:10–20

Teachable Moment: In all three examples, The Mount Sinai event, The King David timeframe and here in in the post exilic establishment of Jerusalem again, YoHeWaH is leading His people to establish His government on earth.

There is a typology at work here that is undeniable for all three events are a type of the end time establishment of The Almighty’s coming government here on earth, but this time, the missing ingredient will be put in place which will guarantee a lack of failure. In all three cases, the people did not hold the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit. However, notice the following text which shows that at the end time, as YoHeWaH’s nation of Israel is established in the true promised land, America, The Almighty will actually force His Spirit into the minds of His people, Israel. The context and time setting is unmistakably the end time resurrection of the nation of the entire House of Israel, all 12 tribes. In verses 1–10, YoHeWaH lends the vision of a great army of people resurrected from the dead, as the vision of the valley of dry bones takes place. Then YoHeWaH says this through His end time Prophet Ezekiel:

Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.’ Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Sovereign YoHeWaH: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am YoHeWaH, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT IN YOU, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am YoHeWaH; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares YoHeWaH.” Ezekiel 37:11–14

Finally, all the people of Israel will have the indwelling of YoHeWaH’s Spirit working in their minds for the express purpose of knowing and understanding Covenant Law, as YoHeWaH’s government is built, actually working toward rebuilding the entire world’s government for the first time, reconciling all of mankind back to YoHeWaH.

Boldness, void of fear or bondage. Courage, void of timidity, where all men, even the feeblest of men will become as David and no leftist, nor any law abolished Christian mindset can stand before the Covenant Law driven Kingdom of YoHeWaH. Notice the following end time text concerning this statement we have made here:

“On that day I (YoHeWaH) will make the clans of Judah like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while Jerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in JerUSAlem. “And YoHeWaH will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah. On that day YoHeWaH will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like The Almighty, like the angel of YoHeWaH, going before them. And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:6–9

Another end time passage given to men of Judah during the days of Ezra’s temple Jerusalem rebuild after the exile, but is a clear end time fulfillment.

“Who is left among you who saw this house (government) in its former glory? How do you see it now? Is it not as nothing in your eyes? Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares YoHeWaH. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. TAKE COURAGE, all you people of the land, declares YoHeWaH. Work, for I am with you, declares YoHeWaH of hosts, ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT I MADE WITH YOU WHEN YOU CAME OUT OF EGYPT. My Spirit remains in your midst. FEAR NOT. “ Haggai 2:3–5

And the time setting is shown in the passage that follows:

For thus says YoHeWaH of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says YoHeWaH of hosts. Haggai 2:6–7

We have made mention already in this work, however it is worth repeating. There was four entries into The Book of The Covenant. Moses created the original entry in the third month after leaving the land of Egypt. That entry can be found in Exodus 24:7 and the contents are found in Exodus chapters 20 through 23. Sometime in the second year after leaving Egypt, Moses added two chapters into The Book of The Law, which are Leviticus 25 through 26 of your Bible. Forty years later, Moses added a third entry to this inappreciable book. This evidence of this entry is found in Deuteronomy 31:24–26, the contents thereof are found in Deuteronomy chapters 4 through 31. Finally, some years later, right before Joshua died, the replacement of Moses added a fourth entry to The Book of The Covenant, also called The Book of The Law, in Joshua 24:26. The contents thereof are Joshua chapters 23–24.

There is a theme at work in all of these entries, like bookends intended as fair warnings. YoHeWaH began the judgment portion of the original Covenant, the very theme of this chapter 11, not to fear, as one bookend and the theme of Joshua’s entry is the exact same thing…. Do not fear.

“And you have seen all that YoHeWaH your Mighty One has done to all these nations for your sake, for it is YoHeWaH your Mighty One who has fought for you. Behold, I have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west. YoHeWaH your Mighty One will push them back before you and drive them out of your sight. And you shall possess their land, just as YoHeWaH your Mighty One promised you. Therefore, BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, turning aside from it neither to the right hand nor to the left, that you may not mix with these nations remaining among you or make mention of the names of their gods or swear by them or serve them or bow down to them, but you shall cling to YoHeWaH your Mighty One just as you have done to this day. For YoHeWaH has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day. One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is YoHeWaH your Mighty One who fights for you, just as he promised you. Be very careful, therefore, to love YoHeWaH your Mighty One.” Joshua 23:3–11

And is it any wonder Strength and Courage are the central theme to Joshua’s final words to Israel, for it was these words Moses left Joshua with right before He died, passing the torch to Joshua, the son of Nun. Note the following text, which is the last thing Moses wrote in the second entry of The Book of The Covenant, which is the right side bookend of Covenant Law.

“BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the YoHeWaH, Your Mighty One who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS, for you shall go with this people into the land that YoHeWaH has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it. It is YoHeWaH who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:6–7

Within all of these quoted passages, there is an underlying point of issue. Having courage and being strong void of Covenant Law is useless. The words within The Book of The Covenant are the direction and instruction one’s life should take. These specifications are hard to put into practice without a dedicated, stout heart, that seeks to be led by YoHeWaH Himself. One that is emboldened by YoHeWaH’s Spirit.

The overcoming of an unhealthy fear in a body, mind and spirit paves the way for the fear of YoHeWaH to be king in the Believer’s life. To fear nothing except YoHeWaH is the goal, to which Covenant Law is a must. Do not fear. Take courage and work to build the kind of character worthy of life and an office within the coming Government of YoHeWaH here on this earth, in this nation of AMERICA, The promised land and headquarters of Our King.
