The “End Time” Blessings of Genesis 48 & 49

It falls strangely on our ears to hear, there is an enormous amount of end-time prophecy written in the book of Genesis. However, truth be told, it’s a fact. There is none more important than the foretelling of the two greatest nations in man 6,000-year history……Great Britain (The Single Great Nation) and America (The Multitude of Nation-States).

The true reason the western world is so vastly head and shoulders above the eastern world in modern convenience, material wealth, desirable land, and an air of superiority is because of the obedience and faith of Abraham. The Almighty YHWH bestowed that blessing upon Abraham’s descendant, which was passed down through His son Isaac, called the Son of Promise, who passed that same blessing down to his son Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel.

Jacob’s desire was to pass that same blessing down to his son Joseph, his 11th born son, but the son of his beloved wife Rachel. However, circumstance beyond Jacob's control prevented that event from taking place. Thus Jacob held the passing of the Abrahamic blessing until the waning moments of his life when to His surprise, His beloved son Joseph, thought to be dead for so many years was, in fact, alive and well, living in Egypt, with two young sons.

So, as fate would have it, Jacob/Israel passed the Abrahamic blessing down to his Grandsons, the sons of Joseph, Ephraim, and Manasseh, thus blessing Joseph, in the process. The story is told in Genesis 48:8–22……

8 When Israel saw Joseph’s sons, he said, “Who are these?”

9 Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom YHWH has given me here.” So he said, “Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.”

10 Now the eyes of Israel were so dim from age that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them close to him, and he kissed them and embraced them.

11 Israel said to Joseph, “I never expected to see your face, and behold, YHWH has let me see your children as well.”

12 Then Joseph took them from his knees, and bowed with his face to the ground.

13 Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right, and brought them close to him.

14 But Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, crossing his hands, although Manasseh was the firstborn.

15 He blessed Joseph, and said, “YHWH before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, YHWH who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,

16 The angel who has redeemed me from all evil,
Bless the lads; And let my name (The name of Israel) be named upon these two lads, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

17 When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on Ephraim’s head, it displeased him; and he grasped his father’s hand to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.

18 Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one is the firstborn. Place your right hand on his head.”

19 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know; he also will become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”

20 He blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce blessing, saying, ‘May YHWH make you like Ephraim and Manasseh!’”

Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.

21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am about to die, but YHWH will be with you, and bring you back to the land of your fathers.

22 I give you one portion more than your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.”

Now, there are several points that need to be made concerning this blessing given to these two lads, sons of Joseph.

1. Notwithstanding Joseph efforts to have the older son Manasseh blessed by the right hand of Jacob, Jacob/Israel crossed his arms, laying the stronger blessing hand upon the younger son of Joseph, Ephraim, pronouncing the greater blessing upon the younger of the two lads. More on this in just a moment. America, the younger nation, is far stronger than Great Britain ever was.
2. In verse 16 we see, Jacob, actually placed his name, the name of Israel, upon these two lads. This becomes a very important fact to keep in mind, because the blessings pronounced upon Ephraim and Manasseh speaks of very certain nations and the time setting as we shall see, at the end of days. Thus in the time setting of this prophecy, there are nations which should be known by the name of Israel but are not, even though in YHWH’s eyes and in the eyes of those who know, these two nations are Israel. As we shall see later on this blog, the current nation having the name of Israel is totally misnamed and should be called Edom, not Israel.
3. We see in Genesis 48:22 Jacob/Israel gave Joseph a double portion above that of His 11 brothers. Thus the 12 tribes of Israel became 13 tribes, 11=2+13. This is very important when we begin to look at the symbolism of America.
4. Manasseh was to become a single great nation. There are tons of proof this is speaking of Great Britain and in fact, there will be a blog specifically on this mountain of proof, directly from scripture and history, but it suffices to say, for now, we know this to be the case because of the two nations, Great Britain and America, Great Britain came up first and is the older of the two nations. We’ll leave it right there for now. More to come concerning this identification of The Commonwealth of Great Britain.
5. Ephraim was said to become a great multitude of nations. Again, being the younger, just as America was to Great Britain, we can see this typology fit hand and glove with what we know about the two nations……and yes, there will be a specific blog on Ephraim being America, but wetting your appetite, for now, America is Ephraim because of the statement, “his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” The multitude of nations are the 50 nation states of America united under one God….Again, a hand in glove fit with what we see in America this day.

The time setting of this blessing is unmistakable in its context. This day saw Jacob continue in an attitude of blessing, as chapter 48 closes and chapter 49 opens we find this very important passage:

49:1 “Then Jacob summoned his sons and said, “Assemble yourselves that I may tell you what will befall you in the latter days.”

The words, “ in the latter days” refers to the end time and as we shall see, once again, history and scripture agree, hand and glove.

Jacob continues to pronounce blessings upon each of his 12 sons, including the specifics of the blessing he just gave to Joseph’s sons, to Joseph himself. From these blessings and/or pronouncements, we can match nations today, and call them Israelite nations. Here is a quick list of those nations and why.

1 — Reuben is France. France has always been unstable as water, just as Israel says they would be. France is also known for its sexual promiscuity.

“Reuben, you are my firstborn; My might and the beginning of my strength,
Preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power. 4 Uncontrolled as water, you shall not have preeminence,
Because you went up to your father’s bed; Then you defiled it — he went up to my couch. Genesis 49:3–4

2 & 3— Simeon and Levi are scattered throughout the nations of Israel because of their self-willed violence against the people of Schehem.

“Simeon and Levi are brothers; Their swords are implements of violence “Let my soul not enter into their council; Let not my glory be united with their assembly; Because in their anger they slew men, And in their self-will they lamed oxen. “Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; And their wrath, for it is cruel. I will disperse them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel Genesis 49:5–7

4 — Judah is an interesting study. It must be noted, within the fullness of Israel, which is America, there are all 13 tribes. I’ll get to that in just a moment. But of necessity, there had to be a nation which fulfilled this portion of prophecy and just as in the days of Christ, so too, today, this nation is a mixed nation of Jew and Edomite. That nation is the middle eastern nation called Israel. The middle eastern nation of Israel is a military power, with its hand on the neck of all the Arab nations around it. All other Israelite nations do bow down to Israel. The rest of this description of Judah deals with the religion of Judaism which is a subject all to its deceptive self. We’ll just leave this right there.

“Judah, your brothers shall praise you; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you. “Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up? “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh, comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. He ties his foal to the vine, And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; He washes his garments in wine And his robes in the blood of grapes. “His eyes are dull from wine, And his teeth white from milk.” Genesis 49:8–12

5 — Zebulum is Holland. The Dual meaning of the people who dwell by the sea is a direct reference to not only the location of The Netherland provinces but also its role in common era history swaying in the tides of nations, falling under several other national powers, having no set firm government until the last three hundred years.

“Zebulun will dwell at the seashore; And he shall be a haven for ships, And his flank shall be toward Sidon.” Genesis 49:13

6 — Issachar is Sweeden. Several times in history, Sweeden has opened its gates to troubled nations, bearing the burden of those nations, each time to Sweeden’s demise. In these last days, we have witnessed this again, as Sweden opened up its borders to migrant Syrians, fleeing The war in Syria, once again, to Sweden’s downfall.

“Issachar is a strong donkey, Lying down between the sheepfolds. “When he saw that a resting place was good And that the land was pleasant, He bowed his shoulder to bear burdens, And became a slave at forced labor.” Genesis 49:14–15

7 — Dan is also an interesting study, especially when it comes to within America, There will be a blog dedicated to Dan, later. Notwithstanding, Dan on the world stage is not hard to figure out. Dan is Denmark. Originally called Danmark, The “mark” of Dan can be viewed all throughout its land. That said, the characteristics listed here by Jacob have almost nothing to do with the Scandinavian nation today and everything to do with its UNITED STATES characteristics, instead.

“Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel. “Dan shall be a serpent in the way, A horned snake in the path, That bites the horse’s heels So that his rider falls backward. For Your salvation, I wait, O YHWH.” Genesis 49:16–18

8— Gad is Germany. Germany has a long and successful military history, dating well beyond the SS of Hitler fame. They are a nation of “Troop” for sure. And they have been knocked down several times in their rich military antiquity and each and every time, they have overcome in the end. This latest climb from the abyss of WW2 has seen Germany become a stable European economic power.

“ Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.” Genesis 49:19

89— Asher is an easy one. The royal dainties of world renown bakeries make Belgium the home of Asherites at this end time.

“As for Asher, his food shall be rich, And he will yield royal dainties. Genesis 49:20

10— Naphtali is Norway. The Scandinavian nation of Norway has its hands in just about every kind of New World Order assemblies ever invented. They are founding members of The UN, NATO, The Antartic Treaty, The WTO and several other world ruling class organizations. Best known for it's Nobel Peace Prize, Naphtali does indeed appreciate “beautiful words”. It also must be noted, Naphtali is the full brother of Dan. These two brothers have a very specific and scriptural tie within THE UNITED STATES. Again, we will be addressing this very important role in America in another blog.

"Naphtali is a doe let loose, He uses beautiful words.” Genesis 49:21

10 — Joseph, as mentioned before, is very clearly the double portion of Great Britain and America. These two nations military prowess is historically undeniable. Their arms are swift and strong and will remain so even until the end of days. History records it was Great Britain that now holds Jacob’s Pillar Stone, called The Stone of Scoon, which was the stone Jacob slept upon in Genesis 35 when he had the dream, seeing a great ladder reaching up to heaven, having angles ascending and descending. These two nations have obviously experienced the very best YHWH can offer to mankind, just as the text says. When you read this passage just keep in mind, the well known American thought, “From Sea to Shining Sea”. The head of Joseph (The President, leader of the free world) and the Crown (a reference to The Crown of The Kings and Queens of Great Britain).

“Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a spring; Its branches run over a wall. “The archers bitterly attacked him, And shot at him and harassed him; But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel), From the God of your father who helps you, And by the Almighty who blesses you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb. “The blessings of your father Have surpassed the blessings of my ancestors Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; May they be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of the one distinguished among his brothers.” Genesis 49:22–26

12 — Benjamin is Iceland. When Joseph was thought to be lost, Jacob turned his attention to Benjamin. In that process, it was Benjamin who learned the ins and outs of the covenant, especially concerning genealogies of scripture. The Icelandic peoples are most known for three things. 1) They are the world refrigeration meat locker. Anything that has to be refrigerated, that travels between Europe and America passes through Iceland. 2) They are known for setting the financial records straight, standing up to the world banking systems for honor. And 3) They are known for family Genealogies. They are the wolf, dividing the spoil, after the kill, via food, money, and word.

“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; In the morning he devours the prey, And in the evening he divides the spoil.” Genesis 49:27

This concludes the blessings given by Jacob to his sons and grandsons just before he died. Again, as Genesis 49:1 tells us, these all have an “end of days” time settings. I have only given the surface evidence of these things, not yet touching on the mountain of evidence concerning the “Great Britain / America” fulfillment of the sons of Joseph, nor did I touch on other Israelite nations such as Australia, South Africa, Canada, Ancient Iberia (known today as Spain), and even former communist nations such as Poland, Hungry, etc.

You see, Joshua chapter 1 opens with a very important passage to keep in mind. This passage lays the groundwork (literally) for the tent stakes the people of Israel would put down and the lands they would claim on their journey to the true Promised Land of Deuteronomy chapter 8. Read this and consider the implications of this blog.

“Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses. “From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Great Sea (which is the Pacific Ocean) toward the setting of the sun will be your territory.” Joshua 1:3–4

This is the first of many blogs to come concerning the subject of America being the promised land of Deuteronomy chapter 8. I consider this subject one of the most misunderstood subjects of all of scripture. May YHWH, The Almighty bless you in your studies.
