The Feast of Trumpets
The Prophetic Marker of YoHeWaH’s Festivals
Besides the Day of Atonement, of the seven Appointed Times listed in Leviticus 23, the Feast of Trumpets, or as some Hebrew-loving Believers desire it to be called, Yom Teruah, is the least understood. Atonement and Trumpets are immensely misperceived because of the Jewish slant placed on both Appointments via the dumbed-down Churches that keep the Feast based upon what they have learned from Judaism or the Messianic Hebrew Roots movement.
The command to observe the Feast of Trumpets dates back to Moses’ commentary on The Book of the Covenant, in Leviticus 23 via the following words:
“And YoHeWaH spoke to Moses, saying, ‘“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall present a food offering to YoHeWaH.” Leviticus 23:23–24
We also have this from Moses’ hand in the book of Numbers concerning the Day of Trumpets:
“On the first day of the seventh month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work. It is a day for you to blow the trumpets. You shall offer a burnt offering, for a pleasing aroma to YoHeWaH: one bull from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish; also their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for the bull, two tenths for the ram, and one tenth for each of the seven lambs; with one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you; besides the burnt offering of the new moon, and its grain offering, and the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offering, according to the rule for them, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to YoHeWaH.” Numbers 29:1–6
The above two passages make up the sum-total of information we have concerning the Feast of Trumpets from scripture, as far as the command from The Eternal of its meaning and how this High Day is to be observed. It’s really not much to go on. We can conclude from these two sections of Moses’ pen the following facts based upon a Covenant Law understanding:
1 — The time the Day of Trumpets is to be observed is the New Moon or Renewal of the seventh Hebrew Month, also known as Tishri.
2 — The Feast of Trumpets is a special New Moon or Renewal rest day, different from all of the other beginnings of months. A Sabbath. While no one ever thinks in these terms, the seventh Month is a Sabbath month. All the agrarian work has been completed, and it can be said that the land and by extension, the people can now rest.
3 -It is a Memorial, which is defined as a once-a-year commemoration of an event. That event is probably the recreation of Genesis chapter 1. It is why this day is sometimes called the beginning of the year, at least anciently. Thus, as with all of YoHeWaH’s Appointments, there is a past, present, and future context, showing His divine omnipotence.
4 — The blowing of trumpets, or, as it can be understood, a call for shouting, is the day’s surname of significance.
5 — There is to be a set apart convocation, as we would have on any other Sabbath Day, complete with no customary work — paid work for your occupation. Cooking would be the exception to the Sabbath stipulation based upon the principle laid out in Exodus 12, when cooking is allowed on the first day of Unleavened Bread, after the day of preparation for Passover. The symbolism of a food offering backs up this stance.
The majority of information from the passage in Numbers is based on the commands within the Levitical Priesthood. Thus, we can glean the following understanding from that passage, which holds significant meaning for Believers today when applied to end-time prophecy.
The command to offer a burnt offering, which is a selfless symbol of humility toward YoHeWaH, is the first stipulation of the required offerings under the punishment of the Levitical Priesthood. Now, it must be noted that two types of animal sacrificial offerings are not limited to the Levitical Priesthood and are also found under Covenant Law. They are Burnt offerings and peace offerings.
“And YoHeWaH said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the people of Israel: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven. You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. An altar of earth you shall make for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause my name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you. If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stones, for if you wield your tool on it, you profane it. And you shall not go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed on it.’ Exodus 20:22–26
The symbolism of these two offerings, tied directly to attitudes of prayer, extends beyond the constraints of one priesthood or another. These are prayers offered to YoHeWaH with a selfless agenda, represented by the burnt offering and those provided in the spirit of peace, under a spirit of cooperation, opposed to competition.
The contents of the burnt offering are especially revealing. One bull, One Ram, and Seven Male Lambs. These three sacrifices covered the whole geopolitical gamut of the House of Israel.
The Bull — A direct representation of the fullness of power and government — The King. The bull sacrifice represents the goal of governmental selflessness. It is an atonement… A New Testament atonement for the sins of the government.
The Ram — An explicit representation of the High Priest. Today, that would be the Eldership. Two Rams were the required sacrifice for Aaron and His Sons when the Aaronic and Levitical Priesthoods were codified in Leviticus chapter 8. A Ram was the replacement sacrifice instead of the young man, Isaac, at Mount Moriah, who was himself a direct typology of Christ, our High Priest.
The Seven Male Lambs — A straightforward typology of what most would know as the church age. The seven churches of Revelation chapters 2 and 3 play significant roles in end-time prophecy, as Christ refines Believers within a form of church government, under the Melchizedek Priesthood and the law of liberty. These seven male lambs are not only a perfect typology of the seven churches but are, of course, a perfect representation of the ultimate selfless sacrifice of the One who authored the church age Himself… Yeshua the Messiah, the very Lamb of YoHeWaH, the Passover sacrifice.
It is worth noting that these offerings were all abolished at the time Yeshua hung on the stake — even that which was extant under Covenant Law from Exodus 20.
“For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? But in these sacrifices, there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.” Hebrews 10:1–4
So, even here, in the commanded burnt offering sacrifice within the Feast of Trumpets, we can see the three entities of the coming government of YoHeWaH that will manifest here on earth during the Millennium.
1 — The Bull — The King — The Executive Branch of Government
2 — The Ram — The High Priest —The Legislative Branch of Government
3 — The Seven Lambs — The Judicial Branch of Government — The Woman of Revelation 12:1
These three burnt offerings are very much applicable for a typological lesson for us today.
Moving forward, listed in Numbers 29 outside of the commanded burnt offerings, the rest are tied to the Levitical Priesthood, unapplicable for Believers today. All these are commanded for ancient Israel until Christ came: with one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you; besides the burnt offering of the new moon, and its grain offering, and the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offering, according to the rule for them, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to YoHeWaH.” Numbers 29:1–6
Thus far in the Holy Day season leading up to the Day of Trumpets, we have run the race of the church age, preparing Believers to govern in righteousness — The very meaning of the Gospel of Christ, which is to say… The esoteric agenda of the letter to the seven churches in Revelation, chapters 2 and 3, is to expose the idolatry inherent in human religions. These have always crept into the governments of man over the six thousand years allotted to man from the time of Adam until today.
The Holy Days until Trumpets hold the following purpose toward this proper form of righteous government that YoHeWaH is bringing us to:
Passover — Commemorating the starting point of a Believer’s Walk, through the death of the Passover Lamb, Yeshua in the flesh.
Days of Unleavened Bread — Commemorating the Believer’s Walk, via the ingesting of Christ’s flesh, which is Covenant Law. The word became flesh and dwelt among us, John 1:14. Thus, we, as Believers, become what we eat if we take in Christ, John 6:22–51. Yeshua was and is the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth, 1Corinthians 5:8.
Feast of First Fruits — A prophetic commemoration of the four-part harvest of the first fruits of Barley, Wine, Wheat, and Olive Oil. These typologies break down as follows:
Barley — Believers being perfected in the church age, again taking us back to the seven churches of Revelation 2 and 3 — The called-out of Israel. It must be noted that Christ is the first of the first fruits of the barley harvest.
Wine — The purification of correct moral and covenant doctrine.
Wheat — The whole House of Israel being brought to perfection, through loyalty. The work within the Millennium.
Olive Oil — The fullness of the knowledge of YoHeWaH to all flesh. It must be noted that the olive harvest takes place after the Feast of Tabernacles. The fresh oil of first fruits represents the fullness of the coming government headed by the two witnesses of Zechariah 3 and 4 — The King and High Priest, sons of fresh oil or a fresh government.
Thus, before we can understand where we are each year when we arrive on the Day of Trumpets, we must first review our path through the above-listed Spring and Summer Feasts and their meaning, which reveal the vast plan of salvation for the nation of Israel.
In short… The Legislative Branch of Government is prepared and ready to begin action. Notice why there is cause for joyful shouting when this is finally fulfilled and realized. Paul states:
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for THE REVEALING OF THE SONS OF YoHeWaH. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of the Almighty. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in THE PAINS OF CHILDBIRTH until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for the offspring of YoHeWaH, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now, I hope that what is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” Romans 8:18–25
While Paul’s limited understanding did not allow him to use the proper pronouns needed to convey the full details necessary to have the complete picture, we can see enough to get the gist of Paul’s understanding that he is shedding light on. The goal of Believers is to become full members of the family of YoHeWaH. Paul calls them offspring, which is actually incorrectly translated with the male implication, as sons.
The fact remains that the introduction of Believers into the family of YoHeWaH is that of a newly married wife, as in the Woman of Revelation chapter 12:1, birthing the son of fresh oil as King over Israel.
By now, if you are beginning to pick up on what I am laying down, hopefully you can see the meaning of the Day of Shouting (Trumpets) is the first step of the change of power in the nation of Israel toward regime change, as the saints are empowered to begin setting the record straight within government.
It is here that our lesson on the true meaning of the Feast of Trumpets begins.
The vast majority of churches that consider the meaning of the holy days believe the Day of Trumpets represents the return of Christ… And while this is not totally incorrect, it is void of any understanding of how this manifestation of Christ occurs and the body to which He appears.
Let me cut to the chase and speak plainly for you here.
There is no return of the embodiment of Christ from the actual heavens to the earth, as all Believers suppose and have been taught. As I have pointed out many times before… YoHeWaH teaches in spiritual typologies, and the Enemy teaches in physical counterfeits.
In other words, when you use a proof text of end-time prophecy to create a doctrine such as Christ’s actual return, within a physical occurrence of events, you have already fallen into the trap of the Enemy. Let’s quickly examine a few of these examples.
“On that day YoHeWaH’s feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.” Zechariah 14:4
So, let’s apply some lessons of typology to this passage using the practice of critical thought.
What is Jerusalem in prophecy? Answer — America
What is the typological meaning of feet? Answer — teaching or learning
What is the typological meaning of a mountain? Answer — A government
What does Olives, or Olive oil, or even an olive tree represent in typology? Answer — Olives hail from the Olive tree, which is a direct typology of the whole house of Israel. Oil is a typology of knowledge. Thus, the Mount of Olives can be understood as the knowledge of the coming government of Israel.
How was ancient Israel divided? Answer — Into two houses, the northern House of Israel and the southern House of Judah.
What is a valley in typology? Answer — The people or the laity of the power of the Mountain. On high was the government. In the valley, was the people being governed — the laity.
When did/does the day of Zechariah 14:4 occur? Answer — We are seeing it now and have been witnessing it for the last 400-plus years.
One more point to consider from Zechariah 14:4…
Who are the teachers represented by the feet of YoHeWaH?
What are you called to do?
How does YoHeWaH return to earth?
Answer those three questions, and you can then know the churches have lied to their laity, concerning the return of Christ, for almost two millennia.
One more passage that we will address, which has been sorely misreported by Believers…
“So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom (GOVERNMENT) to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in JerUSAlem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Yeshua, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:6–11
Once again, if you read this passage void of any understanding of how YoHeWaH teaches, you would most certainly think Yeshua will return in some theatrical event from the heavens. However, when you apply the typology presented throughout scripture, along with a bit of critical thought, a very different story emerges.
What is the context of this passage? Answer — Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom (GOVERNMENT) to Israel? Please remember, a kingdom is defined as having four parts. They are:
1 — A King
2 — A People to be governed
3 — A Territory or Land
4 — A Set of Laws
Just in case you’re not paying attention… These four aspects of a Kingdom perfectly define the word government.
What is the sign that this said government will begin? Answer — But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you… The empowerment of the Saints, being changed in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye, is the answer to the contextual question asked of Yeshua in this passage.
What defines the government to which these believers, who are changed into Saints or Members of the YoHeWaH family, will be sent? Answer —and you will be my witnesses in JerUSAlem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. JerUSAlem defines all of America, the land, the people, and the coming government. Judea defines the southern kingdom, i.e., the Israelites that would gravitate to the Republican, conservative mindset. Samaria describes those of Israel who are drawn to a Democratic, liberal mindset, the northern house.
Again, what is heaven in typology? Answer — Government.
How will Yeshua (YoHeWaH’s earthly representative) return or be made manifest in these last days? Answer —From within government.
Hopefully, by now, you can see not only why the day of shouting is so momentous and structured with meaning, but also the extent to which the Enemy has infected the plan of national salvation with falsehood and deception. In short, The Day of Trumpets represents the manifestation of the Woman of Revelation 12 into empowerment. A day worth shouting over, for sure.
Notice again, Paul’s words detailing this day…
“I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom (government) of YoHeWaH, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I TELL YOU A MYSTERY. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at THE LAST TRUMP. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?” 1Corinthians 15:50–55
What you are reading in the above passage is an apt Feast of Trumpets description of why this is a day of shouting. It is a celebration of the saints being manifested into the family of Spirit Beings known by the name of YoHeWaH. Incidentally, the words used by Paul,
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
… is a direct quotation from Hosea chapter 13, which lends to us the time-setting of this momentous event in the moment of the twinkling of an eye. It is the downfall of what Ephraim has become, the UNITED STATES government. I encourage everyone to study this chapter, as it holds rich meaning for the events we are about to witness in our nation shortly.
There is a scriptural event that occurred on the Day of Trumpets that I believe is worth noting in the context of this day.
As I have already alluded to, one of the underlying meanings of this day of Trumpets is the turning of the page for Israel’s education. The message that true Believers have, which has the power to literally change the way government is enacted, has been suppressed and shut out of consideration by those in power for what boils down to six thousand years now. However, on this day, that all changes. The lowly voice of those with actual knowledge will be empowered to be finally heard and obeyed… And this knowledge is based upon what?
“And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring THE BOOK OF THE LAW OF MOSES that YoHeWaH had commanded Israel. So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH. And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to THE BOOK OF THE LAW. And Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that they had made for the purpose.” Nehemiah 8:1–4
The story continues with a very interesting teachable moment:
“And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand, and Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam on his left hand. And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood. And Ezra blessed YoHeWaH, the great Mighty One, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped YoHeWaH with their faces to the ground. Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law, while the people remained in their places. They read from the book, from the Law of The Almighty, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.” Nehemiah 8:4–8
Ezra, alongside 6 Levitical priests to his right and 7 Levitical priests to his left, stood and made known the details of Covenant Law to the people. Then, scattered throughout the congregation were an additional 13 Levites who explained it to them further.
Then, just like clockwork, the King pipes in with his stamp of approval, lending governmental backing to the Day of Trumpets.
“And Nehemiah, WHO WAS GOVERNOR, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to YoHeWaH your Mighty One; DO NOT WEEP OF MOURN.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Creator. And do not be grieved, for the joy of YoHeWaH is your strength.” So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.” Nehemiah 8:9–12
So back to the question… When the Saints are empowered with Spirit Being status, what knowledge will they convey to the people of Israel?
Say it with me… COVENANT LAW and CONSTITUTIONAL LAW.
Starting with the 1Corinthians 15:50–52 event, when the Saints of the Most High are empowered as full membership into the family of YoHeWaH, and all that comes with that event, every single decision made within all levels of government will be weighed against these two sets of laws, by the true experts chosen of YoHeWaH to be HIS WATCHDOGS. All levels of government — Local, State, and Federal will be advised by the biblical entity called The Woman of Revelation 12:1 — The perfected work of the Saints, defined by scripture clearly:
“Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of The Almighty and their faith in Yeshua.” Revelation 14:12
Teachable Moment: I did not pull the words “HIS WATCHDOGS” out of thin air in the above paragraph. The keyword in the phrase is the word “DOG”. Notwithstanding the Canaanite woman with great faith in Matthew 15, who was referred to as a dog and maybe with good reason, as we shall soon see, the scriptural dog in scripture is the tribe of Benjamin —
“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf (the original dog),
in the morning devouring the prey
and at evening dividing the spoil.” Genesis 49:27
The words morning and evening spell out a time of a single day, as in the Millennium, when they have already devoured the prey of truth, as in the truth of the word of the law of liberty, becoming experts in the laws of constitution and covenant… And now, they are commissioned to disseminate the truth to all of Israel… Teachers in the coming government of YoHeWaH… Not only teachers but watchdogs, ensuring governance is void of any corruption tied to falsehood.
“For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Almighty gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teachers will not hide themselves anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teachers. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Then you will defile your carved idols overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images. You will scatter them as unclean things. You will say to them, “Be gone!” Isaiah 30:19–22
Can you imagine the scene? A dirty deal is about to go down at some level of government somewhere, and a Spirit Being appears out of thin air to put a stop to it, faster than Barney Fife could nip it in the bud. That, my friend, is true power. The empowerment of the Saints is the true meaning of the Day of Trumpets.
