“Ain’t no takin’ what ain’t yours.” — Exodus 20:15

The 8th Commandment ain’t just about snatchin’ things — it’s about respect. YoHeWaH been layin’ down this law from the jump, teachin’ folks how to honor each other’s goods. Every society, every empire that ever stood knew this truth — you don’t need no rulebook to know stealin’ ain’t right.

Even the coldest, hardest nations had laws against takin’ what ain’t theirs. Why? ’Cause it go against the very grain of what it mean to be human. You ain’t gotta teach nobody that snatchin’ from another is foul — it’s common sense, plain as day.

But like all things in YoHeWaH’s law, there’s more to it than what’s on the surface. The real truth sit deeper, wrapped up in wisdom, discernment, and the spirit. ’Cause The Enemy? Oh, he stay busy twistin’ things up, makin’ folks blind to what’s real.

Short-Changin’ the Most High

“I, YoHeWaH, don’t change. That’s why y’all still here, Jacob’s children. Since way back, y’all been turnin’ from my laws, doin’ things your way. Come back to me, and I’ll come back to you, says YoHeWaH.

But y’all ask, ‘How we supposed to do that?’

Will a man rob God? ’Cause that’s what y’all doin’ to me.

And y’all ask, ‘How we robbin’ you?’

Through y’all tithes and givin’. Y’all sittin’ under a curse ’cause of it, the whole nation!

Bring the whole tithe to my storehouse so my house stay fed. And if you do, I dare you to see if I won’t open up the heavens and pour blessings on y’all so deep you won’t have no lack.

I’ll shut down the devourer for your sake, keep your land from losin’ its fruit, and make sure your vines don’t fail. Then, all the nations gon’ look at y’all and call y’all blessed, ’cause your land gon’ shine with my favor.”
— Malachi 3:6–12

A lotta folks read that and think it’s all about droppin’ money in a church plate. But let’s keep it real — Israel was never meant to be just another nation. Nah, it was a whole system, a divine government, where law, worship, and life all flowed together under YoHeWaH’s rule. That’s what the prophet Zechariah was talkin’ about:

“He gon’ build YoHeWaH’s temple (His government) and wear the crown. He gon’ rule from his throne. And there gon’ be a priest sittin’ right there too, and peace gon’ be between ‘em.”
— Zechariah 6:13

YoHeWaH’s kingdom ain’t some fairy-tale place in the sky. It ain’t no dreamland where folks sit on clouds strummin’ harps. No sir — it’s a real, tangible, righteous kingdom, ruled by His law, not by no man-made system.

How Israel (America) Been Robbin’ YoHeWaH

Malachi ain’t just speakin’ on some old history — he talkin’ to the end-time nation of Israel. And if you look at the world today, it ain’t hard to see who that is.

Israel asked, “How we supposed to come back to you?” And YoHeWaH hit ’em with a hard truth:

“Y’all been robbin’ me.”

Robbin’ how? By replacin’ His real ways with watered-down traditions.

See, in most churches today, they pass that plate around, talk about givin’ “cheerfully,” and tell you if you drop enough money, God gon’ bless you big-time. Sound familiar? Yeah, they been runnin’ this play for centuries.

The Real Meaning of Tithin’

Churches today got folks thinkin’ tithin’ is all about payin’ preachers, buildin’ big churches, and fundin’ programs. But that ain’t what YoHeWaH set up.

Tithes was never meant for preachers’ pockets — it was to keep YoHeWaH’s Feasts goin’. That’s right — the real purpose of tithin’ was to fund His set-apart celebrations:

  • Passover / Unleavened Bread
  • Pentecost (Feast of Weeks)
  • Tabernacles (Feast of Ingathering)

That’s where the money was supposed to go.

“Three times a year y’all gon’ come before me. Y’all gon’ keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering. And don’t show up empty-handed.”
— Exodus 23:14–17

The tithe wasn’t about throwin’ money at a church — it was for keepin’ these appointed Feasts, where Israel came together to celebrate, feast, and honor YoHeWaH.

The Big Switch-Up

Christianity flipped the script. Instead of celebratin’ what YoHeWaH commanded, they swapped in:

Christmas — But YoHeWaH said don’t bring no tree worship into His name.
Easter — But bunnies and eggs? That’s fertility worship from way back.
Sunday Worship — But the 7th day was always the Sabbath.

YoHeWaH gave His people appointed times to meet Him, and Christianity said, “Nah, we doin’ it this way instead.” That’s the real robbery — stealin’ His worship and replacin’ it with traditions from the nations.

“Don’t worship YoHeWaH like these nations worship they gods. That ain’t how He want it.”
— Deuteronomy 12:4

But that’s exactly what happened.

The Big Lie: Sayin’ His Feasts Ain’t a Blessin’

Modern churches teach that keepin’ YoHeWaH’s Feasts is some kinda “burden.” But let’s break it down:

🔹 YoHeWaH gave His people three weeks of celebration every year.
🔹 These were times of rest, joy, and feasting in His presence.
🔹 And what did Christianity do? Called it a burden and threw it away.

Ain’t that crazy? Folks work all year for a couple weeks off, but when YoHeWaH say, “I got you, take these Feasts as a gift,” they say “Nah, we good.”

How backward is that?

The Bottom Line

“You shall not steal” don’t just mean “don’t take what ain’t yours.” It means don’t rob YoHeWaH.

❌ Don’t steal His worship by replacin’ His Feasts with man-made holidays.
❌ Don’t rob His people of joy by teachin’ them to ignore His commands.
❌ Don’t switch out His tithin’ system for a money-hungry scheme.

It’s time to come back.

YoHeWaH’s way ain’t some old, outdated thing — it’s the path to real blessing. His Feasts, His laws, His governance — they ain’t just history. They the blueprint for His Kingdom.

The question is: Who ridin’ with Him?
