The 4th Chapter of “The Book of The Covenant, A Witness Against America”

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to YoHeWaH. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days YoHeWaH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore, YoHeWaH blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Exodus 20:8–11

The subject of “holy time” has been an ongoing debate down through history, probably since the very six days of re-creation spoken of in this text. Question. What makes time holy and what exactly is time?

Look in any dictionary and you will not find the Biblical definition of time. Time is motion. Time began when the heavenly bodies began their motion in the dome of the firmament. No one created a mechanical clock or invented a paper calendar to hang on a wall or arranged some stones in certain ways to observe time. Nope, none of that. Time began when YoHeWaH sets the sun, moon, and stars in motion, commissioning them to do their work, an appointment all His own.

Like His Creation of all that draws the breath of life, no doubt, He is jealous of His creation of time and we will be willing to bet, you have never thought of the 4th commandment in that way. The Sabbath Day marks His wonders in the heavens, like no other. Man, no matter how hard he has tried, cannot touch it.

So, what makes time holy? The word “holy” is an interesting study all to itself. Man has tried to bastardize this subject as well. Ask any Christian to define holy and you are probably going to hear something dealing with dedication or purity or something tied to God. All kinds of religious babel having nothing at all to do with the truth. Religion is like that, you know…… A bunch of babel.

Simply put, Holy is defined as something “set apart”.

We could go down to the local furniture store, purchase seven chairs, all alike. Then set them on my front porch, equal distance between them. Then, take one of those chairs and set it apart from the other six chairs and by its strictest definition, We have made that ‘set apart’ chair “holy”.

This is what YoHeWaH did with the weekly Sabbath day. He set one day out of seven apart, making it holy to Him.

Now, with that in mind, allow us to explain another interesting fact concerning the Sabbath day. It is a two-part commandment.

Part 1) Work six days

Part 2) Rest after working six days.

A couple of thoughts to consider here.

  1. It is a command to work six days. It is not a suggestion. It is a command.
  2. Rest cannot come until six days of work has been completed.
  3. There is an aspect of remembrance involved.

Thoughts 1 and 2 have either made you, the reader, think or mad. However, if you are mad, you really haven’t thought about critically and if you are thinking about it, then good…. We have accomplished something very hard to do.

Either way, it is a good lead into thought number 3. Let us discuss this aspect of remembrance. It has been said, correctly, by Believers who hold dear the weekly Sabbath of YoHeWaH:

“The Sabbath looks back to Creation, it looks forward to the coming Kingdom of YoHeWaH also known as The Millennium and it allows us a moment in time to commune with Our Creator.”

A past, present and future wrap up of worship toward The Almighty.

The statement, For in six days YoHeWaH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them” denotes YoHeWaH’s re-creation found in Genesis chapter 1. That is a big deal to YoHeWaH. His creation is unmatched in all of history and He wants you and I to know it. The Sabbath day causes His people to keep that fact in mind.

The six and one combination are a clear typology of the six thousand years man has had to govern himself and the one-thousand-year reign of YoHeWaH in the coming Millennium. Notice the following well known text concerning this understanding.

“But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with YoHeWaH one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2Peter 3:8

And

Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also, I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Yeshua and for the word of YoHeWaH, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of YoHeWaH and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:5–6

Even Christian scholars recognize the tie between the Sabbath and the coming Millennium, which makes you wonder why they refuse to observe the Sabbath, but that is a matter for later in this chapter.

A Sabbath keeper is not allowed to stray too far from their creator. It is easy to become wrapped up in the world’s cares during the six working days, however, if you are truly ceasing from those labors as is commanded, you are not going to forget your Creator at all, as YoHeWaH’s importance comes front and center every time the Sabbath rolls around.

This aspect of remembrance is quite important to YoHeWaH. We saw it in the first commandment where ancient Israel forgot YoHeWaH repeatedly. We saw it in the second commandment and in the third and now, in the fourth, the very first words are “Remember the Sabbath Day…”

Allow us to make another point tied to the Sabbath Day… Land. As we are going to see throughout this work, YoHeWaH intended the land to rest as well as people. We will be addressing the land Sabbath later, but for now consider the following text along the lines of remembrance. This comes from the third entry into “The Book of The Covenant” made by Moses.

“The whole commandment (Covenant Law) that I command you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land that YoHeWaH swore to give to your fathers. And you shall remember the whole way that YoHeWaH your Mighty One has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of YoHeWaH. Your clothing did not wear out on you and your foot did not swell these forty years. Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, YoHeWaH your Mighty One disciplines you. So, you shall keep the commandments of YoHeWaH your Mighty One by walking in his ways and by fearing him. For YoHeWaH, your Mighty One is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing out in the valleys and hills, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey, a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless YoHeWaH for the good land he has given you.

“Take care lest you FORGET YoHeWaH, your Mighty One by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes (Covenant Law), which I command you today, lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart be lifted up, and you forget YoHeWaH your Mighty One, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end. Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ You shall remember YoHeWaH your Mighty One, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. And if you forget YoHeWaH, your Mighty One and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish. Like the nations that YoHeWaH makes to perish before you, so shall you perish, because you would not obey the voice of YoHeWaH, your Mighty One. Deuteronomy 8:1–20

There are some points in the above text, I wish I could double underline. The concept of remembering the deeds of YoHeWaH could have just as easily have been quoted in the last chapter concerning the reputation of YoHeWaH via His mighty Name. It is a theme through scripture. YoHeWaH covets the Believer’s mind and is zealous for their thoughts directed back to Him, much like a husband commanding respect for his wife. A topic that we will address in the judgments of Covenant Law later in this work.

Note too, there is judgment at the end of the above text from Deuteronomy 8, a decree based upon disobedience to YoHeWaH’s law, which is tantamount to forgetting YoHeWaH. The two are one and the same, as YoHeWaH tests His people via this concept of remembering Him, their Mighty One.

The subject of Deuteronomy chapter 8 is “The Promised Land”. Later in this work, we will identify where on this earth such a land is located and it is not where you think it is, I assure you. However, for now just know, land is very much tied to The Sabbath of YoHeWaH. Notice the following passage concerning this connection.

“YoHeWaH spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, when you come into the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to YoHeWaH. For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits, but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to YoHeWaH. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard. You shall not reap what grows of itself in your harvest or gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land. The Sabbath of the land shall provide food for you, for yourself and for your male and female slaves and for your hired worker and the sojourner who lives with you, and for your cattle and for the wild animals that are in your land: all its yield shall be for food.” Leviticus 25:1–7

Again, respect is commanded by YoHeWaH of His creation. The land, the earth, is one half of the heaven and earth creation of YoHeWaH’s work in Genesis chapter one. He commands His people to respect the land enough that it too has a rest day, which is a Sabbath year off.

We have just learned in this chapter, a day to YoHeWaH is a thousand years. A definite typology explained. There is another typology found in scripture that says a day is a year in prophecy. This concept is found in the command of the land Sabbath. Man is to observe a Sabbath day. Land is to observe a Sabbath year. And all of creation is to observe a Sabbath Millennium. All typologies of one another, as Believers stay mindful of YoHeWaH past, present and future, taking care not to forget YoHeWaH in any way whatsoever. This is the test YoHeWaH speaks about in the above passage quoted from Deuteronomy.

“…..testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.” Deuteronomy 8:2

The Sabbath command has always been the great, test commandment YoHeWaH has used to evaluate His people as to whether they would keep the whole of His commandments. Notice another example of this examination.

“Then YoHeWaH said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.” Exodus 16:4

An astute disciple of YoHeWaH’s word would instantly recognize this text concerning the story of the giving of manna to the Children of Israel for the first time. YoHeWaH rained bread down from heaven for six days, and on the sixth day, He was to give twice as much, so that there would be no need for gathering on the seventh day Sabbath. This was a test and notice it was a test not just concerning how well Israel would walk in the Sabbath command, but how well His people would walk in all His Covenant Law.

YoHeWaH uses various aspects of the Sabbath command to test His people. Why? The answer is just not complicated, at all. It is because observing the Sabbath is simple. It is just the easiest thing to do. You rest. It is an outward sign not only to YoHeWaH but also to your fellow man stating, you have set your mind to obey YoHeWaH’s commands. So much of Covenant Law is wrapped up in the intent of the heart. Your fellow man cannot tell if your intent is to hate, steal, kill, covet, etc., but the one commandment you prove outwardly for everyone to see, is via the observance of YoHeWaH’s appointed time.

“And YoHeWaH said to Moses, “You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘ABOVE ALL you shall keep my Sabbaths, FOR IT IS A SIGN between me and you throughout your generations, THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT I, YoHeWaH, SET YOU APART. You shall keep the Sabbath because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to YoHeWaH. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. Therefore, the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. IT IS A SIGN, FOREVER between me and the people of Israel that in six days YoHeWaH made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’” Exodus 31:12–17

A little commentary concerning the underlined words in the passage quoted above for you to consider deeply.

The statement “ABOVE ALL” Lets you know what lens YoHeWaH is observing your character through. The starting place for any Believer’s walk and/or measurement is a dedication to set aside the appointed time of YoHeWaH’s Sabbaths. A task virtually all modern Christendom has neglected.

The statement “FOR IT IS A SIGN” denotes the mark of YoHeWaH, the very opposite of the mark of the Beast of Revelation 13. Added to this, the statement, “IT IS A SIGN, FOREVER” lends the time setting for the sign, letting the Believer know, the weekly Sabbath did not end at Calvary, as Christianity will tell you. More on this later in this chapter.

The statement “THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT I, YoHeWaH, SET YOU APART” causes the critical thinking reader to be able to know there is a direct tie between observing the Sabbaths of YoHeWaH and knowing YoHeWaH. Recalling that often brought up passage from The Apostle John, 1John 2:3–4, Christianity has a long-standing method of evangelizing lost souls via a point-blank question, “Do you know the Lord, brother?”, when in fact, they themselves are more lost than the so-called lost soul they are trying to evangelize. They never consider their abolishment of YoHeWaH’s Sabbath and by extension His Covenant Law, has disqualified them from any relationship with the Lord, at all.

In short, the appointed times of YoHeWaH’s Sabbaths identifies the Believer as being in relationship with YoHeWaH. It confirms the beginning stages of passing “the test” spoken of throughout scripture. Now, there is more to this test, which is a lifelong struggle against all kinds of deception, The Enemy has placed upon Believers, like hoops that must be jumped through.

The End Time Prophet Jeremiah details the command and the test, failed…. But before we address this fascinating prophecy of the end time Church, we have a good opportunity to interject a teachable moment to lay a bit of a foundation for your understanding.

Teachable Moment: There is both a typology and a physical fulfillment of the full house of Israel (all 12 tribes) to the end time nation of America. We will most certainly address this in full later in this work, but for now, we do want you to consider the cultural typologies at work in this nation within Christianity.

There is a distinct difference between Southern Christianity and Northern Christianity in this nation.

The so-called Bible Belt of America, where a conservative mindset mingles with Christendom to form a stigma unique to anywhere in the world. The word “zeal” comes to mind when formatting the imagery of the gun toting, bible believing, redneck in the southern United States of America.

The Christianity that has developed in the northern, more liberal states is far less zealous for YoHeWaH’s word. Christianity above the Mason/Dickson line has become more secular in name only, far less in deeds. In areas to the north where it is taboo to be called by the sub-title of Christian, let alone exhibit actions of Christ, the demonic left has choked the strength of Yeshua’s word, leaving any vestiges of The Gospel’s fulfillment to Believers in the South.

This exact same pattern (typology) is recorded in the ancient history of The Two-House system of the Post David / Solomon Kingdom of the twelve tribes in Israel.

After the Kingdom split into a northern Kingdom called Israel (ten of the twelve tribes) and a southern Kingdom called Judah (two of the twelve tribes), the apostasy of leaving YoHeWaH’s Covenant Law happened first to the northern House of Israel. The result was the ten tribes fell into captivity to their enemies before that of the southern Kingdom of The House of Judah.

Later, during the days of Jeremiah, Judah was also found guilty of an even more treacherous apostasy by claiming YoHeWaH’s blessings because of their past righteousness, while their deeds, both governmental and religiously were totally void of righteousness in action. Thus, Judah claimed, “we are righteous because we are YoHeWaH’s people.” but their actions showed otherwise.

A careful examination, apart from all national self-righteousness, will reveal, this exact same pattern (typology) has played out in America, to a tee…. And while we will be making the case, emphatically, America is the end time nation of Israel, physically, later in this work, please consider our words here from a strictly typological perspective, as we sum up The Prophet’s words in the following text.

“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron (Rome); with a point of diamond, it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars, while their children remember their altars and their Asherim (The ancient practice of Christmas tree worship), beside every green tree and on the high hills (religious government), on the mountains (national government) in the open country. Your wealth and all your treasures I will give for spoil as the price of your high places (religious and governmental locations) for sin throughout all your territory. You shall loosen your hand from your heritage that I gave to you (true liberty / freedom), and I will make you serve your enemies in a land (government) that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn forever.”

Thus, says YoHeWaH: “Cursed (Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28) is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from YoHeWaH. He is like a shrub in the desert and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed (Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28) is the man who trusts in YoHeWaH, whose trust is YoHeWaH. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I, YoHeWaH search the heart and TEST the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:1–10

The foundation of chapter 17 of Jeremiah is laid out and concluded in these first ten verses, with the words, “I, YoHeWaH search the heart and TEST the mind”.

Teachable Moment: Please do not lose track of Jeremiah’s words, as He is about to tie the first half of Chapter 17 to the last half of the chapter, but it is here, we need to consider how to actually study the scripture, which is a task much higher than just reading the Bible on the surface.

Isaiah lends these extremely important words to consider:

“To whom will he (YoHeWaH) teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast? For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.” For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue (non-Christian); YoHeWaH will speak to these people, to whom he has said, “This is rest (The subject of the Sabbath); give rest to the weary (those not knowing they are weary, actually deceived); and this is repose (refreshing quite)”; yet they would not hear. And the word of YoHeWaH (Covenant Law) will be to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they (Covenant Law-less Christians) may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Isaiah 28:9–13

The statement, “here a little, there a little” lends a clue as to how to put pieces of the puzzle with other pieces of the puzzle to form the big picture of YoHeWaH’s word. Bits of knowledge (puzzle pieces) must fit perfectly together to establish YoHeWaH’s word as being perfect.

In the above first 10 verses of Jeremiah 17, you will see we have a reference to the blessings and curses chapters of Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. Consider once again, which commandments YoHeWaH is looking at concerning judgment of a nation.

“You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am YoHeWaH. You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am YoHeWaH. Leviticus 26:1–2

Never forget the importance of the 2nd and 4th commandments (Idolatry and Sabbath breaking). YoHeWaH measures a nation’s worth or the lack thereof via that nation’s emphasis upon these two points of “love toward YoHeWaH”. The point has already been made and will be made repeated within this work, YoHeWaH’s word is clear, Christian America is worthy of the judgments listed in these two chapters.

Getting back to Jeremiah’s 17th chapter with these two teachable moment lessons in mind.

“Thus, said YoHeWaH to me (Jeremiah, the end time Prophet): “Go and stand in the People’s Gate (the place where state meets church), by which the kings of Judah enter and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem, and say: ‘Hear the word of YoHeWaH, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates. Thus, says YoHeWaH: Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work but keep the Sabbath day holy (set apart), as I commanded your fathers (in The Book of The Covenant). Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck, that they might not hear and receive instruction (which is exactly what Christian America has done, as well).

“‘But if you (the people Jeremiah’s message is written to, end time Israel, aka America) listen to me, declares YoHeWaH, and bring in no burden by the gates of this city (nation) on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy and do no work on it, then there shall enter by the gates of this city kings and princes who sit on the throne of David (a true righteous government), riding in chariots and on horses, they and their officials, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And this city shall be inhabited forever. And people shall come from the cities of Judah and the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the Shephelah, from the hill country, and from the Negeb, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices (Bar-B-Q celebrations), grain offerings and frankincense, and bringing thank offerings to the house (Government) of YoHeWaH. But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath Day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath Day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates (in the Supreme Court), and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem (USA) and shall not be quenched.’” Jeremiah 17:19–27

Jeremiah 17 opens with the following words, to which we must address. “The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron”

Iron is a symbolic reference to the world ruling empire of Rome, lending the time setting the points being made in this text…. The end time. Just so you will know, at the time Jeremiah wrote, Rome was not even a thought in anyone’s mind, let alone a world ruling empire. Just another of the critical thoughts which points to the Major and Minor Prophets of the Bible, all of them being historical typologies of prophesied end time events. Once more, this reference to Rome ties directly to another of YoHeWaH’s end time Prophets words, as we go here a little and there a little:

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, terrifying and dreadful and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.” Daniel 7:7

And later in Daniel 7…

“He (this fourth Beast of Iron) shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times (appointed times of YoHeWaH) and the law” Daniel 7:25

One of Rome’s greatest accomplishments was to actually make sweeping changes to the way time was kept by the entire world, a task ongoing even until modern times. In 46 BC, Caesar removed the moon from the monthly calendar. Rome, then changed the weekly calendar to a market, planet-based week in 53 AD. Rome invented not one but two world ruling calendars. First the Julian, and later the Gregorian which we still to this day hold as the world accepting method of keeping calendar time. National and world laws are based upon these changes and most certainly at this late hour, all of YoHeWaH’s creation looks to Rome’s time changes instead of YoHeWaH’s Appointed Times given to us in His instruction book.

Thus, Jeremiah’s opening reference to The Iron Pen writing the sin of Judah is a direct reference to the deceptions we were all born into and have come to accept void of Covenant Law. Born into but not guiltless. There are far too many references within YoHeWaH scriptures, pointing to these facts. Yet the Enemy continues to beat our people with the drum sticks of deception. At the core of these deceptions is the observance of time, which makes up a large portion of Covenant Law.

Christians today might ask: “We keep Sunday holy as the Sabbath. Isn’t that good enough in the eyes of YoHeWaH?”

Our question in response would be: “Really? Do you really keep Sunday holy (set apart) and call it the Sabbath? Really?

Consider Jeremiah’s words from the text we just quoted:

“Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy”

Does this nation or for that matter Christians adhere to this admonition from YoHeWaH’s word? You want a second witness? OK. Here is the exact same statement made by Nehemiah over 150 years after Jeremiah wrote:

“And if the peoples of the land bring in goods or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. And we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.” Nehemiah 10:31

Later in Nehemiah…

In those days I saw in Judah people treading wine presses on the Sabbath and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys, and wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them on the day when they sold food. Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of goods and sold them on the Sabbath to the people of Judah, in Jerusalem itself! Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day? Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our Mighty One bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.” Nehemiah 13:15–18

From the above accounts of Jeremiah and Nehemiah we can see the judgment brought upon the ancient nation of Israel by YoHeWaH’s hand directly, as Judah continued profaning the Sabbath day. It is a very serious matter to YoHeWaH. Christianity has to honestly ask themselves, “Are we guilty of this matter?” A question that is easily reasoned away via one of two responses within their mind:

  1. “But I thought the true seventh day Sabbath was abolished for New Testament Believers.”

and/or

2. “I was taught, the Sabbath and all the old law was for the Jews only, not us New Testament Believers”

Addressing the first response, besides the already quoted passages of 1John 2:3–4 and Matthew 5:17 concerning the entirety of YoHeWaH’s Covenant Law, allow us to cut to the chase concerning The Sabbath day itself from the New Testament. This passage could not be clearer.

So then, there remains a keeping of the Sabbath for the people of YoHeWaH (New Testament Believers). Hebrew 4:9

Just twelve words which should end the debate, directly from the New Testament itself, but does it? Does it end the debate for some? We are afraid not.

You see, most so-called biblical scholars will tell you, this sabbath rest spoken of in Hebrews 4:9 is speaking of our day in Heaven, not speaking of a weekly Sabbath at all. Now, while there is a typological, layered understanding of the Sabbath pointing to The Millennium, aka the thousand year reign of YoHeWaH here on this earth (Revelation 5:10), the context bears out this passage is speaking first and foremost of the weekly Sabbath has to be observed before any thought can be had of entering into the eternal rest of YoHeWaH’s coming Kingdom. How do we know this to be a fact?

We must pick up the context from the end of chapter 3. We have already gone through this text in the Introduction of this work, but it is very important to see the foundation of the statement made here in Hebrews 4:9 concerning the Sabbath.

“For whom were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? So, we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.” Hebrews 3:16–19

Again, if the point of this text was written as a math equation, it would look something like this:

Belief = Obedience

Unbelief (lack of faith) = Disobedience

This thought ends Hebrews chapter 3, leading into Hebrews chapter 4 and is the context, of which we read the following….. And pay close attention to the Strong’s Greek Numbers in this text:

“Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest (G2663) still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest (G2663), as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter my rest (G2663),’” although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And YoHeWaH rested on the seventh day from all his works.” And again, in this passage he said, “They shall not enter my rest (G2663).” Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had given them rest (G2663), YoHeWaH would not have spoken of another day later. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest (G4520) for the people of YoHeWaH, for whoever has entered YoHeWaH’s rest (G2663) has also rested from his works as God did from his. (kept the seventh day weekly Sabbath)” Hebrews 4:1–10

Six times in the above text, the writer of Hebrews uses the Greek word Katapause (G2663) to define rest, which is just a simple down sitting. Note the Strong’s definition.

G2663 — katapausis: rest

Original Word: κατάπαυσις, εως, ἡ

Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine

Transliteration: katapausis

Phonetic Spelling: (kat-ap’-ow-sis)

Definition: rest, down sitting

Usage: (in the Old Testament of the rest attained by the settlement in Canaan), resting, rest, dwelling, habitation.

However, in Hebrews 4:9 which states: “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of YoHeWaH”, the word used translated “rest” in this text is: Sabbatismos (G4520) which means a seventh day Sabbath. Note Strong’s definition:

sabbatismos: a sabbath rest

Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ

Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine

Transliteration: sabbatismos

Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos’)

Definition: a sabbath rest

Usage: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

Now, with the above information from Hebrews chapter 3 and 4 in mind, does the Christian response, “But I thought the true seventh day Sabbath was abolished for New Testament Believers.”, hold water?

The shocking answer is Yes, it does hold water. Because that is exactly what your average Christian was taught. Lies. All lies. 100%. The true Sabbath was abolished for Christians by Christendom itself.

Not our words, but rather YoHeWaH’s words.

“In the prophets (Christian Preachers and teachers) of Samaria (America) I saw an unsavory thing: they prophesied by Baal (the Sun God) and led my people Israel astray. But in the prophets of Jerusalem, I have seen a horrible thing: they commit (spiritual) adultery and walk in lies; they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his evil; all of them have become like Sodom to me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah.” Jeremiah 23:13–14

Any study of the Sabbath command that didn’t make mention of the words YoHeWaH spoke through Ezekiel concerning the end time, would be a batting order lacking its cleanup hitter… But first:

Teachable Moment: Question for you to consider.

“To whom was Ezekiel’s message sent to?” Answer: “The entire house of Israel, all 12 tribes.”

… And exactly why is this an important fact to consider?

It must be noted, Ezekiel was given YoHeWaH’s words to write down to be delivered to The House of Israel. The problem is that Ezekiel lived His entire adult life in captivity to Babylon and never delivered His message to the existing nation of Israel, who were long since lost to the Kingdom of Judah by the time of the Babylonian exile, having migrated from their own captivity to Assyria into what is known today as modern central and western Europe.

All so-called Biblical Scholars agree, Christian theology teaches, Israel can never be identified ever again after the Assyrian Exile of the ten northern tribes. Yet to whom is Ezekiel’s message to? Using critical thought, it stands to reason, Ezekiel’s message is very clearly an end time message to the people and nation of Israel, just as all the major and minor Prophets of the bible are. The trick is to be able to identify that nation today, of which we will most certainly do before this work is complete. Either way, consider YoHeWaH’s words through this man Ezekiel. This passage is long, so take the time to study it, thinking critically about its content.

“And the word of YoHeWaH came to me: Son of man (Ezekiel), speak to the elders of Israel (Christian America), and say to them, thus says The Sovereign YoHeWaH, is it to inquire of me that you come? As I live, declares YoHeWaH, I will not be inquired of by you. Will you judge them, son of man (Ezekiel), will you judge them? Let them know the abominations of their fathers, and say to them, thus says The Sovereign YoHeWaH: On the day when I chose Israel, I swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, making myself known to them in the land of Egypt; I swore to them, saying, I am YoHeWaH, your Mighty One (the opening of “The Book of The Covenant’’). On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands (America). And I said to them, (summing up Covenant Law) ‘Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am YoHeWaH, your Mighty One.’ But they rebelled against me and were not willing to listen to me. None of them cast away the detestable things their eyes feasted on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them during the land of Egypt. But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt (YoHeWaH’s mercy the first time). So, I led them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. I gave them my statutes and made known to them my rules (Covenant Law), by which, if a person does them, he shall live. Moreover, I gave them my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am YoHeWaH who sanctifies them. But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness (Golden Calf Event). They did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules (Broke the Covenant), by which, if a person does them, he shall live; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them. But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out. Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land that I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands, because they rejected my rules and did not walk in my statutes (Covenant Law) and profaned my Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols (Sabbath breaking and idolatry, Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28). Nevertheless, my eye spared them, and I did not destroy them or make a full end of them in the wilderness (YoHeWaH’s mercy a second time).

“And I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers (breaking Covenant Law), nor keep their rules, nor defile yourselves with their idols. I am YoHeWaH, your Mighty One; walk in my statutes (True Covenant Law) and be careful to obey my rules (True Covenant Law) and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am YoHeWaH, your Mighty One.’ But the children rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes and were not careful to obey my rules (Covenant Law), by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my Sabbaths (via the Numbers 25 event of spiritual whoredom with Moab, near the end of the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness).

“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them in the wilderness. But I withheld my hand and acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out (YoHeWaH’s mercy a third time). Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries, because they had not obeyed my rules (Covenant Law) but had rejected my statutes (Covenant Law) and profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were set on their fathers’ idols (Satyr, with its idol, the golden calf). Moreover, I gave them statutes that were not good and rules by which they could not have life (The punishment of The Levitical Priesthood Law of ceremony and sacrifices), and I defiled them through their very gifts in their offering up all their firstborn, that I might devastate them. I did it so that they might know that I am YoHeWaH.

“Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel and say to them, thus says The Sovereign YoHeWaH: (An end time prophecy, not to ancient Israel at all) In this also your fathers blasphemed me, by dealing treacherously with me (treason). For when I had brought them into the land that I swore to give them (America), then wherever they saw any high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices and there they presented the provocation of their offering (Christmas and Easter); there they sent up their pleasing aromas, and there they poured out their drink offerings. I said to them, ‘What is the high place to which you go?’ So, its name is called Bamah to this day.

“Therefore, say to the house of Israel, thus says The Sovereign YoHeWaH: Will you defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and go whoring after their detestable things? When you present your gifts and offer up your children in fire (abortion), you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares YoHeWaH, I will not be inquired of by you. Ezekiel 20:1–31

The following points must be made from the above text:

  1. YoHeWaH’s name, his reputation, is the highest priority to keep pure. His name is higher than your personal salvation. Higher than your personal welfare. Higher than your doctrine. Higher than you, period. That is very hard for Christianity to comprehend. YoHeWaH is not going to let anyone slide in the face of defaming His Mighty name.
  2. Treason is the highest form of blasphemy. At the core of this level of blasphemy is profaning YoHeWaH’s Sabbath day.
  3. Ezekiel was told to personally speak against and even judge Israel for their transgressions. As we have stated already, The ancient Prophet Ezekiel never got that opportunity. This means, his Major Prophet writing is that judgment against end time Israel.
  4. The Sabbath day can be profaned and in fact, it has been a major sticking point between YoHeWaH and His people since creation.
  5. The Sabbath is tied directly to how well or how poorly Covenant Law has been kept. It is the measuring stick of YoHeWaH’s judgment.
  6. Sabbath breaking is a national sin, in YoHeWaH’s eyes.
  7. YoHeWaH’s mercy is everlasting, but His mercy is not without judgment.

Finally, we must show from scripture how the Sabbath observer can test YoHeWaH. It is only fair, right? If YoHeWaH uses the 4th commandment to test His people, should not the tables be turned for legitimacy’s sake. Notice the words of YoHeWaH through His end time Prophet, Isaiah.

“If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of YoHeWaH honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly; then you shall take delight in YoHeWaH, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, before the mouth of YoHeWaH has spoken.” Isaiah 58:13–14

For Sabbath keepers, never forget this two way street promise. You can call YoHeWaH out and remind Him of this text and knowing what we know from scripture, that is exactly what He wants you, the true Believer to do.

What percentage of Christianity looks at the weekly Sabbath in this light? Only YoHeWaH knows each one’s heart, and that should scare the living daylights out of each one of us.

“His Judgment comes and that right soon.” The Shawshank Redemption, 1994

YoHeWaH has weighed the end time, regathered House of Israel (America) in the balance and found our nation, wanting. Time, The Mark of YoHeWaH, is running out.
